Apple season is in full swing and while frolicking in those gorgeous apple orchards this fall, set aside some apples for yourself to craft a yummy cocktail. We love apple cider this time of year and we love sangria year-round, so we decided to combine the two for a delicious sparkling apple cider sangria. It tastes just like fall and is the perfect drink to compliment hayrides, falling leaves and the crisp cool air.
A fall twist on the traditional sangria
Traditional sangria is made with red wine, juice, fruits and spices. We decided that our sparkling apple cider sangria should be made with white wine instead of red. Then, we swapped apple cider for the juice and used apple slices for our fruit. The only thing left to figure out were the spices and we figured spiced rum would have to do because it’s totally the same thing, right?!?
