When travelling to NYFW, planning out all of our outfits and ensuring everything we needed was in our carry-ons should be considered a real talent! With a jam-packed schedule, packing the outfits you will be wearing to shows and events, with varying temperatures makes packing light a challenge. We tried to pack universal items which could be used for a variety of reasons-you never know what you will be doing when you get there!
Layered Looks for NYFW
As per usual, we both packed a leather jacket for this occasion, we weren’t sure what the weather would be like and wanted to ensure we were layered. We were extremely happy with this decision because the earling morning meetings and evenings were pretty chilly!
Jenna is wearing: Sam Edelman Lara Scalloped Block Heel, Zara leather jacket (similar one here) and black culottes (similar ones here).
Lisa is wearing; leather stretch sock boots, a cropped biker leather jacket, jumpsuit, sheer blouse and Pandora rose clasp bracelet.
Working during NYFW
While we were extremely grateful to be invited to NYFW, we knew that we would have to spend time working in between shows. Our outfits had to be functional yet appropriate to get through a busy day in style. Taking a look at the photos of the beautiful models wearing exquisite gowns, outfits and accessories while taking a quick lunch break, makes working a pleasure.
Wear what feels comfortable
Whether you are walking, Ubering or taking a cab to a show, you know that there will be wait time when you get to your event. This means that inevitably, you will be standing and walking for long periods of time! Wear what you deem as comfortable shoes! The silky fabric of both the skirt and floral long dress kept us comfortable. A blouse keeps Jenna’s outfit trendy and not too formal. We are both obsessed with our Van Der Hout personalized necklaces and wear them EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!
Stopping to debrief along the way
There is so much going on all around us during such a short business trip, and it was so easy to become overwhelmed! We needed to remind ourselves to stop and take short breaks and have fun.

Making time to SHOP
When in New York, who doesn’t want to shop? We had a chance to shop at Bloomingdales and a quick trip to some shops in SoHo!
