Summer travel is here and I am celebrating with a brand new column called #TravelStyle. Travel and Style are two of my favorite words and I believe you can travel and be stylish at the same time. You don’t have to look stick out like a sore thumb when you travel. In fact you should try look your best when you travel, not only for the pictures but when you feel comfortable you project confidence and will be able to enjoy your surroundings better.
Summer fashion should be simple and effortless, think modern and chic. For this Summer travel style post we drew our inspiration from Greece. The iconic cool blues and crisp white are what makes this popular destination world famous and this summer your wardrobe can mimic these colors by choosing things in this cool color palette. Not all summer clothing has to scream bright orange and tropical prints. Blue and white lends itself to feel nautical, which is also why they work so well in the summer time.
One of the hottest trends right now are slouchy pants, or what I like to call sassy pants! These pants are beyond comfortable and perfect for travel. Buy them in a light breathable fabric and these will replace your linen pants from last year. Don’t get me wrong, I love linen pants but linen pants wrinkle like crazy. These are not sweatpants and you should avoid wearing a baggy top or tennis shoes with them. The best thing about slocchy pants is that they can be dressed up or down depending on the accessories and shoes you wear. They can double as a daytime sight seeing pants paired with sensible sandals and then take you to dinnerwith a pair of heels and a great necklace.
