Fashion for a Cause with Sseko Designs

Imagine a world where our daughters would be served as second-class citizens with little or no chance for a higher education. This is the reality for all young women in Uganda’s male-dominated, poverty-stricken society. And one company, Sseko Designs, is working to help. Through the ingenuity of founder Liz Bohannon, the Company is using fashion to provide employment and scholarship opportunities to women pursuing their dreams and overcoming poverty.

Sseko makes chic leather sandals with interchangeable fabric straps that can literally be styled hundreds of different ways.  Talk about versatile. We love the aqua blue fabric styled in the classic flip flop style.

During the month of August, Sseko is celebrating its third annual 30 Ways/30 Days Campaign. To enter, all you have to do is take a picture of your styled Ssekos and share the pic on the Company’s Facebook page. A winner will be chosen every week and will receive an exclusive Sseko Style pack that includes a $100 Sseko gift card and a not-yet-released, top-secret Sseko product. Sounds good to us.

Sandals are available for purchase online with proceeds going directly to Ugandan youth.

Moms, is your favorite color and style of Sseko sandals?
