Emmy Makeup For LessRachael Taylor‘s Emmy Award make-up transcends both night and day here’s a great way to accomplish her look for less.

Emmy Makeup For Day or NightMAC Cosmetics has had the long loved Studio Fix ($26.95), which is a foundation and powder in one. I have tried many versions of Studio Fix and can say that no one does it quite as well. While it is more on the expensive side it is long lasting for a nighttime affair. If you’re going for a more subdued day version go with your everyday stuff.

To get that dewy shimmery look use Stila Cosmetic’s All Over Shimmer Powder in Kitten ($28) . There are 2 shimmery colors you can play with. Get an angled blush brush (like this one) to put the shimmer powder under your eyes along the top of your cheekbone. Here’s a little secret of mine: I use a Royal & Langnickel Angle Eye Fluff ($2.99) brush because I like that I can keep the shimmer powder to a minimum if I want to, this is great for toning it down for the day.

Most people don’t realize that a pink blush works for all skin colors. The best are ones that can be used lightly and more heavily by layering. Sometimes the hues of blushes can be too overwhelming. The Pixi Beauty Blush Treatment In Healthiest Honey ($16) is a great option.

The L’Oreal Studio Secrets Professional The One Sweep in Playful All Eyes ($9.95) makes it easy to put your shadow on without having to guess where to put what color. These palettes are great because you can continue to layer the color to get the desired affect when it comes to making your eyes more dramatic.

Emmy Makeup For LessThe Almay Intense i-color in Midnight Black ($7.50) is a great black eyeliner because although it is a pencil it glides on easily and doesn’t run. It has a built in smudger that works really well.

For mascara use any volumizing one, and layer it until you get the lashes you want for day or night.

Emmy Makeup For LessThe lips should be handled 2 different ways. Use a lip stain first, and then put a wet lipstick over it. Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain in Flirty Nude ($6) and Ilia Beauty lipstick in Blossom Lady ($25) together make for a perfect pink/nude lip.
