I took ballet for several years as a child and we recently started our daughter in ballet as well. She absolutely LOVES it. She loves to look at pictures of me when I was little and we love to share memories together.
My child twirls an leaps everywhere! What a gift dance is.

Dance class is the best part of the week. Watching my daughter’s class of 3 and 4 year olds doing their arabesque is so cute!
In the first grade I was in the Nutcracker. I was a mouse. My BFF’s dad was supposed to bring me home after one of the performances and evidently didn’t get the memo. So I hung out in downtown San Jose till they remembered, a few hours later.
Needless to say, I am super punctual when picking up my 10 year old from ballet 🙂

Ballet was such an important component of my early childhood, all the way up to my early teen years. In middle school, I had the chance to tour with the company for out Nutcracker production. I loved the excitement of missing school and performing on stage. My daughter (age 4) seems to really enjoy her dance classes as well. I’m loving the new Capezio shoes by the way…especially the fact that there are NO STRINGS TO TUCK IN! My best Monica

My daughter loves ballet because of the kind and patient teacher she has in our local parks program. I love that she’s receiving quality instruction without the crazy recital costumes or competitive moms.
I remember performing an Annie song when I was 5. Now my 5 year old loves just dancing! She wants to be a ballerina!
