Gold baby shower ideas from Target

IMG_8536When it comes to party decor, gold is in right now and baby showers are no exception. For the sassy, modern mom-to-be, a gold baby shower is the perfect way to celebrate. Expecting a baby girl? Add pops of pink to your gold party decorations for a girly touch. Have a little boy on the way? Gold with turquoise or a bold green will be chic and handsome. Gold can also be completely gender neutral, if Mom doesn’t know the sex of her baby yet.

We’ve pulled all of our favorite gold party decor ideas from Target to inspire your own gold baby shower… or any baby shower you’re throwing!

Everything glitters in gold

A great invitation can inspire your entire baby shower and these from Target have a tiny touch of gold to tie into your gold baby shower theme. Don’t be afraid to step out of the box when it comes to invitations. They don’t need to have “baby” splashed across the top to make them baby shower appropriate. Gold Baby Shower

You can likely DIY a baby shower banner at home, but at under $5, these are hard to resist. Try customizing a basic party banner from Target by adding the baby-to-be’s first name or a simple message to Mom, such as “Congrats!” (Pictured: Spritz 80-Inch Banner, $4)

Gold Baby Shower

Throwing a baby shower — or any party, for that matter — can get a little messy. Especially when you have a house full of moms drinking champagne! These Mason jar-inspired drinking glasses with lids are a lifesaver. Not only do they keep spills under control, but you can even send them home with your guests at the end of the shower. (Pictured: Spritz Clear Glass Drinking Jars, $8)

We’re a bit obsessed with these baking kits from Target. They come in yummy flavors that will make sure your guests feel like they’re at a baby shower, not a kiddie party, and a frosting mix is included. Add a cute chalkboard cupcake topper and these become the centerpiece of your shower. (Pictured: Archer Farms Chai Latte Cupcake Mix, $4)

Don’t forget to send your guests out the door with a little something special. For a gold baby shower, the perfect goodie bag filler is a pretty gold nail polish. Pick a handful of different gold polishes from Target and let them choose their favorite on the way out!

  1. Books! Especially books given instead of cards to create a library for your child.

  2. I love baby showers that have unusual themes and are more classy than kiddish… you can have a great baby shower without baby jungle animals! My sister’s are throwing me a Winter-Twinkle Star Baby shower soon. Can’t wait to see how it all comes together!

  3. I am loving all the ideas for a gold baby shower. But the one closest to my heart was for my daughter…we had an autumn themed shower with a forest animal nursery. And one if the activities was onesie decorating. So much fun!
