Fabulous Layered Looks for Fall

In Fashion, Style by Sherry2 Comments

Those crisp and cool breezes of fall have arrived! So like it or not, it’s time to pack away those flip-flops and tank tops and break out the sweaters and boots. Turns out, as fashion trends go, this is a great time to find fabulous pieces, such as vests, denim jackets, cardigan and cableknit sweaters that will spice up any old outfit.

Today, I’ve come up with three looks that can be layered up to keep you warm on those bitter cold days and leave you looking spot on trend.

Fall layered looks

Madewell dress / American Eagle Outfitters vest / Gerbe tight, $54 / G by Guess boots / Chain necklace

Colored tights are a great way to add interest and dimension while also adding a little layer of warmth to your ensemble. If that gold color is a little too bold for you, simply swap them out with a pair of black tights. Throw on a pair of riding boots and top this look with a great vest and you are set.

Now is the time to stock up on plaid! It is huge right now, not to mention a very versatile wardrobe piece to hold onto because it can be worn in a variety of ways — especially when layering. For this particular look, I’ve added a black vest and completed the look with a pair of fashionable ankle boots.

Fall layered looks

Yumi red belted dress, $64 / Denim jacket / H&M faux-suede boots, $48 / Stella & Dot drop earrings

This is one of those outfits that can be worn from sun up until sun down. Tame the bold pattern down by topping with a jean jacket and add a little glam by wearing a pair of booties to finish the look.

What are some of your favorite fashionable ways to layer it up in the fall?

  1. I love layering, especially in the Fall when I get extra use out of my summer tops by pairing them with a jacket or cardigan. Plus, you never know if a room is going to be too hot or too cold!
