There are blogger events and there are Hollywood events. When the two collide the experience is nothing short of amazing. This is exactly what happened Monday when a few parent bloggers were invited by Warner Bros. Pictures to spend the day with Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler and Wendy McLendon-Covey in anticipation of their new movie, Blended, being released May 23.

I could watch the three of them read a washing machine manual and have a blast, so to be able to screen Blended and then chat it up with them was enough to make my sides hurt from smiling and laughing so much for the next few days. Seriously, The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates were both really funny flicks, but now that I have a few years of being “mom” under my belt, this movie really resonated with me. And let’s face it, seeing these two reunite on the big screen again will just never get old.
Inside the Hollywood Hills Suite
After the screening at TCL Chinese 6 Theaters on Hollywood Boulevard, we made it over to the Loews Hollywood Hotel where we were spoiled with lunch and pampered courtesy of Drew and her cosmetic company Flower Beauty, and No. 4 hair products. The shades were amazing and I fell in love instantly. The line is available exclusively for Wal-Mart and I was very impressed with all the products. Bloggers also had the opportunity to get their hair braided courtesy of No. 4 hair care products.
Interacting with Drew, Adam and Wendy was like being plunked right on to the set of one of their movies complete with hair and make-up. The chemistry and vibe was playful and exactly the way you would think it would be. And their genuine fondness and admiration for each other made the afternoon even that much better.
The day is certainly one I won’t soon forget. Having the opportunity to meet and interact with my favorite Rom-Com couple and having the chance to personally tell them that is truly a big fat check off my bucket list. THEN… to have Adam Sandler himself tell me to get between him and Drew for the group photo? PRICELESS.
