Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer, Movie Premiere

In Events, LA Local by savvysassymoms2 Comments

This past weekend my kids and Savvy Sassy Daddy attended the premiere of Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer.  I was “bummed” I had to miss this one and I even had a little bit of mom guilt,  but I had to be at the Cover Girl Beauty Bar event. Although, I didn’t feel so bad when I was getting text’d about all the fun they were having.

Judy Moody is all about the search for fun and a thrill seeking summer.  Aunt Opal (played by Heather Graham) comes to stay with the kids over their summer vacation and what Judy (played by Jordanna Beatty) and her brother Stink thought was going to be a lame summer, turns out to be one wild adventure!

Since I wasn’t there to watch the movie I thought I would interview the Savvy Sassy Family on their thoughts!

How did you like the movie Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer?

Hudson: So great!

McKenna: It was good.

Harris:  The kids really enjoyed it, they thought it was a lot of fun!

What were some of the funniest parts of the movie?

Hudson: When they got scared from the racoon that jumped out at them.

McKenna: When they were chasing Big Foot and the jumped in the Ice Cream truck and they found…. (don’t want to give it away)

Harris:  The initiation into the TP club.

Who was your favorite character?

Hudson: Stink.

McKenna: Judy

Harris:   Stink, Judy Moody’s little brother.  I thought he stole the show.

Would you like to have Aunt Opal as your aunt?

Hudson: Yes, because she was the greatest

McKenna: Yeah, Because she was fun!

Harris:  I’d rather Aunt Opal not be related to me:)

What was your favorite Thrill point?

Hudson: When they put the hats on the Lions

McKenna: When they were trying to cross the rope bridge

Harris:  The car chase

Would tell your friends to see this movie?

Hudson: YES!

McKenna: Totally!

Harris: Only if you have kids;)

After the movie they went up to the rooftop party to do some thrill seeking of their own!  It was an all access pass to fun;  arts & crafts, a nail salon, photos with Big Foot, 3D photos, ride the wave surfing, frogs to hold, trampoline/bungee jump, and of course some great food!  After each activity they completed they got a hole punch in their Thrill Pass. They came home with their very own kid-swag bag filled with goodies!

“Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer!” hits theaters
Friday, June 10th so get ready to collect some Thrill Points!
