Last weekend we were invited to the Celebrity filled 5th Annual Kidstock courtesy of Hudson Jeans. This event benefits the One Voice Scholars Program, a charity that mentors and prepares low-income and inner-city Los Angeles high school students for college.  There was all sorts of interactive kids booths filled with arts & crafts, a food festival, rock star photo booth, air brushed tattoo’s and performances by the hottest pint sized performers, including Radio Disney Artists Coco Jones and China McClain from the Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm.

Our first stop of the day was to decorate some TOMS Shoes and I think we have a little fashion designer on our hands, McKenna drew a sketch first before going to work on her shoes.  Then we grabbed a hot dog some ice cream and headed over to the Hudson Jeans DIY tent where the kids were each given a pair of jeans to decorate with some patches.  They also got VIP passes to wear around their necks and tamborines to decorate.  They could also get their hair spray painted but McKenna opted for a feather in her hair (good choice) while the boys went into the Kinect XBox tent.

While standing in line for our tattoo’s Harris made light conversation with Jason Bateman while I pretty much turned around and almost walked right into Ryan Phillepe.  There was celebrities swarming the place, but who cares, we were celebrating our little Hudson Man, even McKenna let him think today was his day.  We scored a key chain and a swag bag that both had HUDSON on it;)  All in all it was a gorgeous day, with so much to do, too many goodies to eat and lots of celebrities to see!  The savvy sassy family had a blast, the kids passed out in the backseat 10 minutes into the drive back home.

HUDSON made this limited edition of kids jeans exclusively for the event. They were able to raise over $8,000 for One Voice through the sale of denim during the event!

Disclosure:  My kids were each given a pair of Hudson Jeans.  However, I have been a big fan of the women’s denim line for years.  All of my Savvy thoughts and Sassy opinions are my own.
