Pinspiration: Colored tights

colored tights pinspiration

It’s time for yet another Pinterest-inspired outfit, this time featuring some cute colored tights! As much as we are dreaming of warmer weather and spring/summer, the fact of the matter is that winter is here to stay for quite a while longer. So instead of going into denial, we must embrace the frigid temps and dress accordingly! To avoid falling into the “winter slump” though, why not jazz things up a bit with a pop of color on our legs?! And no, I’m not talking a tan (although wouldn’t that be nice!). No — I’m talking a fun pair of colored tights to pair with your winter garb! I found this cute outfit idea on Pinterest, and put my own fun spin on it. If we have to freeze for a while longer, we might as well do so in style, right?

I love the color pairing of mustard yellow and navy blue, and decided to go with that same combination in my outfit. Wearing white in winter is one of my favorite looks (really — wearing white all year round is A-OK in my book) and finishing the outfit with a cute pair of brown oxfords (obsessed with these by Steve Madden!) just seemed like the right idea. A tip on wearing colored tights: Don’t be shy — own it. Also, pick your favorite color combinations, and go with that! Love green and black? Throw on some green tights with your black dress! Prefer a more subtle color? Try navy blue tights (they can almost look black in some lighting) and a black and white striped dress. It’ll be subtle, but you’ll still be rocking the colored tights!

So what do you think? Are you up for some fun colored tights? Which color would you choose?
