Modern Nursery Design
If you are designing a baby boy nursery and want to skip the alphabet train and monkeys and go for a more sophisticated theme, then I have found some gorgeous nursery essentials for you. For this nursery I wanted to keep it classy and clean and perfect for a little prince. The color palette is white, grey and a classic baby blue.
The baby’s nursery should be your favorite place in the house, you’ll be in there a lot. Choosing a crib is the first step in designing your dream nursery, find the crib and you can begin to work around it. I love this mirrored crib from Restoration Hardware Baby (it’s on SALE). This is a crib that could be used for either a boy or a girl and can be used for as many babies as you are willing to have!
Nursery Essentials
You will definitely need a dresser or changing table, I prefer the ones that can be used long after the diaper changing days. Keep in mind that when designing a nursery not all the furniture needs to match, in fact the room will look much better if it doesn’t. Find pieces similar in style but mix it up a little bit. This Oilo changing pad cover is soft and elegant and easy to take off and be washed.
You’ll need a place to put those dirty diapers and this Ubbi diaper pail will blend right in, no one will even notice it. Swaddling blankets are a must too, and Swaddle Designs has plenty of swaddling blankets to choose from.
Nursery Decor
A rug can really be the most decorative accent that pulls the nursery all together. Choose a rug that will make the room feel warm and cozy and something soft for baby’s tummy time. Another great way to decorate a nursery is with wall decals and I think this one from Walls Need Love is perfect for any baby room. Then add in some plush toys, blankets and accessories and you have one posh little nursery ready for nesting!

My husband and I wanted to skip the whole theme type nursery and wanted something modern yet sophisticated too. Your mood board reminds me a little bit of my nursery too. I love the white accents.
