This past weekend we went out to dinner at Bucca Di Beppo and they get an A+ for family friendly dining! My daughter likes to calls this “her” restaurant because we get to sit in the kitchen and they have her favorite bread with that “black stuff” (the oil and baslamic vinagrette) she loves it! The kitchen is the best seat in the house – you are in the middle of all the action, pots & pans, dishes, chefs and servers running back and forth. The kitchen is already so noisy that you don’t have to worry about your kids noise level!
As always our kids were done gobbiling up their spaghetti before we were 2 bites into our food and they started to get restless. The manager came over and gave the kids some “Italian Dough”, (similar to play-doh) to distract them while we finished our meal. And it worked! We actually got to chew our food and talk while the kids were creating things out of pizza dough! Since going out to dinner can be such a stressful thing and many times I leave the table thinking, what did I even have for dinner? I wanted to hug the manager as we left, but that might have been a little awkward, so I just thanked him a bunch:)
Buca Di Beppo gets my Savvy Sassy Seal of Apporoval!

I love that place, and yes the kitchen seating is the coolest!! I have yet to actually take my toddler, but glad you had a good experience with it.
OOOHH I so agree!!!! happy SITS day!
That’s a great pic, we’ve been there before it’s a good place for a big gathering. Lots of food & it’s pretty good food.
I have eaten there but we have never eaten in the kitchen! Wow, I will have to ask next time. We love their food. Thanks! And congrats on being recognized on SITS.
Great idea! I’ll have to try it sometime, although I’d worry about my 2YO tacking a waiter while running to a freezer to get his BooBoo Bunny!
Oh boy, I love sitting in restaurant kitchens. Usually those tables are to be found only in hoidy-toidy restaurants. What fun, stress free dining 🙂
