Who knows clothes for kids best? That’s right… moms! These kids’ clothing lines, all designed and some even handcrafted by very talented moms, are carving out a place in the world of child style. See what these moms have been working on, when they’re not on parenting-duty, and give their inspired designs for kids a try.

1. City Kid

You don’t have to live in the city to fall in love with the designs of Claudia, the mom behind the kids’ clothing line, City Kid. Using a cool method that uses both old and new fabrics (she started by making her daughter dresses out of her husband’s old shirts!), Claudia makes custom, one-of-a-kind clothes that are soft, wearable and fun.

2. Kallio

Another kids’ clothing line that takes innovation, style and eco-friendliness to the next level is Kallio, created by mom-to-be, Karina Kallio. Her designs use vintage adult clothing back to life in the form of some of the hippest clothes for kids you’ve ever seen. Her designs are simple and classic, with fits that will easily make her pieces the ones that your kids want to wear over and over and over again.

3. Züpers

From clothing designer to mom and back to clothing designer again, Wendy Feller, the mom behind the kid’s clothing line, Züpers, solves a problem with her designs that most moms with girls can relate to: holes in the knees of her daughter’s beloved leggings. With super-reinforced knees and a fit that lends to girl power play (there are even little hidden pockets for treasures!), Züpers are an aha moment for so many moms.

4. Little Hip Squeaks

For moms who are all about kids’ clothing lines that feature graphic prints, look no further than the mom-designed, Brooklyn-based Little Hip Squeaks. Mom, Amy Robinson, has taken Little Hip Squeaks from a hobby to a successful business, even taking Etsy by storm, in just a few short years and if you peek at her sweet, hip designs, it will be easy to see why.
