It’s a small world, grab your Disney passport!

I have never been a big fan of the Disney characters splattered all over kids outfits.   I mean, some of them look like the embroidery machine got away from them. And I have to confess, I cringe when my son wants  the wear his obnoxicous buzz light year light up shoes.  I also did a little happy dance the day my daughter said she didn’t like princesses anymore.  She thinks they are all “babyish”.  In fact I have never written about Disney on SSM, because I am not a big fan. {gasp}  I KNOW!  Please don’t send hate mail.

So now the day has finally come…I am writing about Disney, because I am in LOVE with what Disney has done with the “It’s a Small World” collection!  It’s  Classy, Cultural and Chic.  Not to mention “Its a small world” ride is my favorite and in my opinion the best part of the whole disney experience.

They have done something so incredibly savvy and sassy,  by teaming up with brands such as TOMS, Petunia Pickle Bottom and the charitable organization FEED to commemorate the 45th anniversary of Disneyland’s “it’s a small world “The ride that champions the idea that, though often a world apart, we are connected to each other.”  I think the partnership of these brands is perfection!

“We’ve collaborated with Disney to celebrate the anniversary with a collection inspired by artist Mary Blair’s original, delightful mid-century artwork and evoking Walt Disney’s belief that we’re united in our love for children and dreams of a better tomorrow.  Japanese Spring, the first installment of this limited-edition collection, is now available online and at your local Nordstrom store.

I love this “Passport to Cutness” – adorable!  I cannot wait to see the next collection.

Please share your favorite thing about Disney with me?

  1. I too am a HUGE fan of the It’s a Small World ride at Disney World. I dragged my family through it twice on our last visit and took pictures of almost everything. LOL. It’s just so darn cute! As is this anniversary collection–adorable without being obnoxious and a charity tie-in to boot. Well done, Disney.

  2. Disney has done an amazing job at bringing together TOMS, Petunia Pickle Bottom, and FEED for the Small World Anniversary. I attend both Disneyland and California Adventure once a year and the “It’s a Small World” ride is definitely a must for my family. I can’t wait for the re-development of California Adventure also. I believe it’s currently under construction and is opening in 2012.
