My daughter loves spring. She loves seeing plants and flowers bloom, seeing animals scurry around after hibernating all winter, and watching the birds fly home. But her favorite spring activity by far is playing in the rain. As an adult I no longer see the appeal — I don’t particularly like getting wet unless I’m in a nice warm pool — but by the way Tatum acts while we are splashing around outside, you would think I took the child to Disney World.
Since we are constantly outside wading through puddles and finding worms, I figured she MUST have a few adorable raincoats, right? It’s just necessary. Seeing as I am a big outerwear fanatic, I feel like the right jacket or coat can completely transform an otherwise run of the mill outfit. While we’re splashing around outside I don’t normally dress Tatum in her Sunday best, so having a cute raincoat that is not only stylish but also functional is a nice way to add a little style. We all know that looking chic while puddle jumping is very important.
Savvy Sassy Tip: I like to layer up and put a sweatshirt or a couple shirts underneath Tatum’s raincoat if it’s cold, but I also found a couple of coats that have some added warmth. Whether you’re in a cooler climate like us, or you’re more southern and warmth isn’t a problem, your little ones are sure to love these raincoats!
