Get the best photos while travelling

When you travel, how do you capture a moment in time to keep as a souvenir? Do you take selfies? Do you ask someone to take a photo of you and your family? Is your selfie stick attached to your hand? I always find that in order to get everyone in my family in a picture, I have to ask a complete stranger to take a picture. Doing that makes me uncomfortable, and I am pretty sure they don’t enjoy it either! I think the selfie thing is over. I always feel disappointed when I see the pictures with the screen so close to my face. This time, I travelled with Flytographer.

This summer, with my trip to Paris for Haute Couture Fashion week, I planned ahead and booked Flytographer, an easy online destination that connects travellers with a community of hundreds of local photographers around the world. I knew this trip would be momentus for me, and I wanted to ensure I captured it on film.

The process was easy with Flytographer

Working with Flytographer was fun and simple. Once I registered, I looked up photographers on the site and had the opportunity to select a photographer whose style aligned with my own. After I selected my favorite photographers, I contacted the concierge to see if that photographer was available in a particular destination.

The concierge and I corresponded until the booking was sorted out. I filled out an online form specifying what I was looking for in terms of location, style, and anything I thought the photographer should know. To finalize the booking, we arranged a meeting place and time. Plus, you don’t have to worry about finding your chosen photographer at the meeting place. Their picture is online so they are easily identifiable upon meeting.

Professionalism

Everyone I communicated with through Flytographer was extremely professional. The photographers I worked with were helpful and knowledgeable of the area. They listened attentively and constructed a plan quickly in the short time we had together.

Photographs with Olga were extremely easy! She was comfortable with the scenery and knew how to capture an exciting candid photo. After asking our opinion, she made suggestions. Because of Olga, our time in Paris will be ingrained in our memories forever, and we are able to share a part of our holiday with our friends and family.

Amsterdam photography by Tania from Flytographer

Tania knew her surroundings well and kept the pace moving. She knew where to get the best photos in Amsterdam in a short amount of time. She wove through bikers, and skirted around cars to ensure she got an authentic shot — especially when I was riding a bike for the first time in many years.
