Cute Kids Rain Gear

In Kids, Kids Fashion by FrankiLeave a Comment

Spring time is ALMOST here! Next week marks the beginning of spring, and even though it hasn’t warmed up too much here, I’m still getting my mind into warmer weather mode by pulling out all of our spring-time clothes. Tatum’s favourite part about spring is probably almost every child’s favourite part: splashing in puddles. It goes without saying that your kids are going to need a good set of rain boots and a rain jacket for such activities, and there’s nothing cuter than little ones decked out in vibrant rain jackets and boldly patterned rain boots!

Right now there are so many adorable choices for rain gear that it was hard to narrow down my favourites. From bright, solid colours to trendy patterns, there are a lot of jackets and boots to choose from that your little girl or boy can express themselves with! I even threw in a couple of cute umbrellas, which are most necessary for strolling around in the rain. Take a look at my picks and make sure to find a jacket and a pair of boots for yourself — you’ll likely be out there splashing with your kiddo!

Uniform Rain Coat – $34.99 – Gap

My daughter lives in pink. You can count on her each day to have incorporate a pink article of clothing into her outfit. When I saw this adorable pea-coat style raincoat, I immediately thought of her and all of the other little girls who are die-hard pink lovers. This coat would be adorable with a pair of bright yellow rainboots for a fun pop of colour.

landsendboysBoys; Navigator Rain Jacket – $29.00 – Lands’ End

Colour-blocking is still a big trend, and if you’re looking to include it somehow in your son’s wardrobe, this rain jacket does this trick! I love the vibrant colors and the fact that it is made by Lands’ End is perfect for any rough-and-tumble little guys out there — they will be able to splash and roll in the mud to their heart’s content without worrying about ruining this jacket!

51044_OR0390Girls’ Polka Dot Rain Jacket – 60.00 – J. Crew

If they made this jacket in women’s sizes, I would buy it. Little girls will look spring-ready in this beautiful neon & polka dot raincoat. This coat is lightweight enough to be able to run and play in, but it’s also completely waterproof and and folds up into a little pouch when not in use!

minibodenJersey Lined Anorak – $33.80 – Mini Boden

It’s not springtime until someone dons a typical yellow rain jacket. This adorable and brightly-coloured jacket is lined with cotton jersey, so it is super-comfortable for long days of puddle jumping, and it is still going to be resistant to all of that splashing your little ones will be doing. I would love to put my little girl in this with a pair of yellow rain boots for that traditional rainy day look!

Navy and White Stripes Rain Jacket – 62.99 – Hatley

I am always a fan of striped clothing. I love the nautical look of it, and it’s especially perfect for rainy days. This stylish jacket is PVC-free and waterproof with a detachable hood and soft terry lining. Basically this is the perfect spring jacket whether there’s rain or shine!

Girls’ Raindrops Rain Coat – $34.00 – Roxy

If you’re wanting to add some spring-y florals to your little girls’ wardrobe, this bright orange & pink flowered jacket is perfect! This jacket is machine washable, so if your daughter tends to get really into her puddle jumping and splashing like mine does, you don’t have to worry about how you’re going to get it clean. This jacket is sure to brighten a cloudy day.

Sunshower Rainboot – 32.00 – Tea Collection

Puddle-jumping requires a comfortable pair of rain boots. These boots are fully lined with a cushioned removable insole (perfect if your little one has done some over-zealous splashing!). Another cool detail? These boots are made from 100% recycled water bottles! So not only will your little one be able to enjoy the outdoors, they’ll be helping them too.

Puddle Stompers Rain Boots – $36.95 – L.L. Bean

Even though rain boots are going to be sloshing around in rainwater and mud, it’s still nice for them to look pretty! These rainboots are adorned with a bright, fun fish print that your little girl will love to wear. You could easily pair these with the pink Gap raincoat to compliment the pink in the boots.

Boys’ Rainboot – $16.06 – The Children’s Place

Here’s a great pair of navy boys’ rainboots from The Children’s Place. These boots also have a removable sole, perfect for easy washing. These boots would go well with the yellow raincoat I included in this post or the white and navy striped raincoat!

cn4345457Dinosaur Boot – $30.00 – Western Chief

If your little guy likes to pretend to stomp around like a dinosaur, these boots will be a huge hit! I love that they added handles on the side for easy taking on-and-off. The moisture-absorbant cotton lining will come in handy with the amount of time your kids will spend outside. Your son will get his imagination’s worth out of these boots!

41RGr5DWhVLGirls Umbrella – $13.99 – Stephen Joseph

An umbrella is an important accessory for rainy spring weather. I love the adorable owls on this girls umbrella. This umbrella could be paired well with a pink raincoat and boots, but any combination will do!

Frog Kids Umbrella – $13.50 – Kidorable

What is not to love about this happy frog umbrella? This whimsical umbrella is a great addition to your little boys’ spring accessories, and would be a perfect tool to get little imaginations going. The great thing about this umbrella is that it is child-sized, so small hands can easily hold on.
