Spring Cheese Pairing Recipes

3 Spring Cheese pairings Cracker Barrel Cheese

#1 Cracker Barrel Cheese – Vermont White Cheddar
Strawberry
Basil
Balsamic glaze
White chocolate
Black pepper cracker

Strawberries start to come into season during the late spring and pair classically with floral basil and tart balsamic vinegar glaze. White chocolate adds a touch of balancing sweetness while the subtle spice of the black pepper crackers heightens the entire combination.

Set a colorful table.

Napkins

Napkins always help make a table more colorful. Buy ones that you can re-use over and over again for different gatherings. Etsy has a million to choose from and Target always has great seasonal napkins and many times you can find them on clearance.

Flowers

Every table needs flowers.  Visit your farmers market or Trader Joes for inexpensive flowers. Place one large vase in the center of the table or divide them up into smaller vases and scatter them around the table or place all of them in a line running down the center of the table.

Colorful bowl of eggs

This is a very easy way to add color to any kitchen counter top or as a centerpiece.  Etsy sells some great colorful eggs that you can bring out year after year.  Or shop TJ Maxx Home Goods for unique decorative items such as these.

White classic bowls

White bowls are a must for any entertaining. For jams/jelly, honey, small nuts or any dipping sauces to be shared.  The Rosana Farmhouse Pantry bowls are by far my favorite entertaining bowls, cake stands, and platters.

#2 Cracker Barrel Cheese – Extra Sharp

Blueberry
Pecan
Honey
Butter Cracker

Tangy Extra Sharp cheese is contrasted nicely by sweet summer blueberries and honey. Pecans add a bit of bitter nuttiness that suggest a warm spring or summer day in Georgia.

Set a beautiful blue table.

Large colorful platters

Sometimes to break up all the white dishes why not throw in a colorful platter to mix it up a bit.  This mediterranean inspired floral platter is gorgeous.

Table runners

Table runners are an inexpensive and instantly set the tables mood.  Your entire party theme could be based of of the colors in a decorative table runner.

Bowls, bowls and bowls

You can never have enough bowls.  Bowls for fruit, olives, nuts, veggies, and salads.  I love this 5-piece monochromatic bowl set from Crate and Barrel.

Hostess gift

These organic blueberry napkins are from Etsy and come in these cute egg cartons, which make the perfect hostess gift.

#3 Cracker Barrel Cheese – Aged Reserve
Bing Cherry
Almond
Chocolate wafers/crackers

Try this pairing as a sweet after-dinner treat. Sweet cherries begin to come into season during the spring and are a classic match with almonds and chocolate. The Aged Reserve cheese will make you think you have just eaten the easiest-to-make bite of delicious cheesecake you have ever had. If cherries are out of season, swap in dried cherries or cherry preserves.

Set a vintage table.

Seasonal centerpiece

This would be fun to make yourself, but who has time for that when you’re concentrating on the food.  This seasonal centerpiece filled with robin eggs is sold on Etsy for only $37.00.

Cheese knives

You can’t have a cheese pairing party without the proper tools.  I like the this wood-handled cheese tool set, they have a little old world charm.

Vintage table cloth

The best place to pick upo anything vintage is at a flea market, antique shops, and Etsy.  But another place for modern vintage kitchen finds is Antropologie and Layla Grayce.

Take home gifts

These burlap bunny bags for an Ester brunch make great goodie bags for the kids or even a little take home treat for adults!
