As the chilly fall weather comes and goes, we find ourselves layering up the kids up in the morning. They shed all those layers by the end of the day. When the weather changes quickly from hot to cold, we prepare for sick days. That means keeping the kids occupied with engaging toys! Parents, I know you know what I’m talking about!
The sick days begin!
This past week was the first of many, I’m sure, where I had at least one child home sick 4 out of the 5 school days! Flu season started in this house! Between Advil runs, nose wipes and trips to the bathroom, I needed to break out something to keep them entertained and engaged.
Entertaining the kids with Thomas & Friends
With both a boy and a girl, Thomas & Friends have made many appearances in our home. As I’m sure they have in your home, Thomas & Friends have made many trips around the windy railroad tracks, up the walls, in the bathtub and any other place imaginable! As a parent, I have always felt good about the classic Thomas & Friends brand that encourages imaginative play. Through the brand, my kids have learned so much about problem solving and teamwork, whether it be getting to know Thomas & Friends through books or on TV.
So, when I heard that Thomas & Friends were coming out with new play sets, I knew I had to get my hands on one before the kids were too sick for me to leave the house. Let’s be honest, we all need something to give us a break when we add nurse to the number of hats we wear on a daily basis.
Let their imaginations run wild even when they’re home sick
When the fevers came on and I needed something to lift their spirits, I took out the Thomas & Friends™ Adventures Sea Monster Pirate Set. At first, they thought it was a sea monster game, until they spotted Thomas! I couldn’t get the toy out of the package fast enough for them to get their hands on it! The kids went wild as they tried to send Thomas to the top of the ship to release the treasure. Addi was squealing with excitement each time the treasure followed Thomas out of the ship.
Their imaginations ran wild as they tried to get Thomas through the fearsome sea monster who wants to get his hands (and tentacles) on the treasure! By rocking the ship back and forth, the kids got Thomas all the way to the top. He released the treasure, which then follows Thomas down the ramp and out of the ship!
Moms appreciate a play set kids can share
Thomas & Friends Adventures Sea Monster Pirate Set is marked ages 3+ — perfect for both of my kids. This toy saved the day time and time again as I nursed them back to health! No one better than Thomas to put a big smile on their faces! The Thomas & Friends play set inspired hours of imaginative play!
I am pleased to say that we are almost back to 100% health over here. The Thomas & Friends™ Adventures Sea Monster Pirate Set remains at the top of the toy bin. See all the Thomas & Friends toys for your next sick day and everyday play!
