Use No. 1: The perfect step stool
At some point, all kids hit the oh-so-fun “I can do it myself” phase. Of course this is perfectly fine since we all know participation in certain things is necessary for learning, and in our house it is a big part of our family time. But, when you have small people and high counters, next thing you know you’re tripping over an ugly step stool trying to get to the stove or, like in our case, your slightly clumsy 5-year-old has fallen off a chair and is now a crying puddle on the floor. So much for enjoyable family time.
The Learning Tower by Little Partners eliminates the risk of falling in a very beautiful and functional way. Crafted from the highest quality layered birch and available in six different finishes, this step stool is not only incredibly sturdy, but it’s also really aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend getting this as it adds functionality without taking away from the overall look of the piece. Just want the easel and not the Tower? Or, no longer want it attached to the Tower? The easel can be wall-mounted, which is nice because it’s a really great option for an easel, regardless.
The easel comes with two paint cups, an eraser, and a reversible blue/black chalkboard that easily slides to reveal a magnetic whiteboard. This is a favorite at our house since our kids can’t play with magnets on our stainless steel fridge.
Use No. 3: Add on playtime fun
According to my daughter, who has been playing with the Learning Tower non-stop since it arrived, this is the best feature of the bunch. And, I would have to agree. Imaginations are free to go crazy with the once-piece interchangeable slipcovers that easily slide over the Tower (even with the easel on!), turning it into an ice cream shop/lemonade stand, or a popcorn counter/puppet show theater.
When I say it’s easy to change the slipcover, I mean it. My 5-year-old has it mastered, so I’m not constantly having to come running every time she changes activities. My daughter has even taken it upon herself to create puppets out of toilet paper tubes just for her baby sister — it’s seriously adorable and priceless. Just like the easel, the slipcovers can be purchased separately or bundled together with the tower and easel in your choice of finish and slipcover in the Learning Tower Combo.
An honest opinion from a picky mom
I really can’t say enough good things about the Learning Tower Combo. The Tower itself feels really sturdy and high quality, and the finish blends well with my other furniture, so when I stick it in the corner when not being used, it’s not a total eyesore. But, most of all, it’s been super entertaining. Whenever something comes into this house and it gets more than a passing glance, much less hours of play for both the baby and the big kid, then you know it’s a winner. The Learning Tower by Little Partners is winning all over the place with me. I see lots more pretend ice cream and puppet shows in my future!
