To say that I was happy when I was told that I was being given the Stokke Xplory Stroller to review is a giant understatement. The Stokke Xplory is one of THE best strollers on the market for parents right now, and I was beyond thrilled that I would be able to walk my new baby in style when he arrives in July. My husband and I strapped in our four-year-old daughter Tatum as soon as we got the stroller in this gorgeous red (can we say “excited?”) and took it for a test drive. We were VERY impressed with it!

The first feature that I thought was absolutely genius was the adjustable handle with ergonomic design. I am a very petite person, not even making it to five feet, and the fact that I am able to adjust the handle to my height so I can push the stroller comfortably is great. Now I don’t feel like my elbows are at my ears while I’m pushing the stroller along. When my husband decides he wants to take one of the kids out for a walk, he can easily adjust it back to the height that is comfortable for him. Because it easily adjusts to the height of the person, it reduces strain on the body and makes for a comfortable and easy walk.

What I also love about the Stokke Xplory is that the seat can face outward, or inward towards the parent pushing the stroller. I remember taking Tatum for walks when she was a baby, and feeling a bit unnerved that she was facing away from me. If you are pushing a newborn/infant, you want to be able to keep them in view at all times, and the Stokke Xplory allows for that. The seat is height adjustable, so if you want them to be right at your level to help stimulate bonding and development, the easy-to-adjust seat makes it an option for you. The foot rest on the seat is adjustable as well, so your child’s legs won’t have to dangle aimlessly in the air. They will be able to rest them comfortably on the ergonomic foot rest design. As your child grows, the foot rest adapts to their size. Don’t want to have to worry about getting a high chair at your favourite restaurant? The Xplory stroller seat adjusts to the height of any table, so your little one can join in on the dinner conversation!

My husband loves to take walks, and he was concerned about how the stroller would perform over uneven or rough surfaces. Once he learned that the Stokke Xplory is designed according to the same standards held for motor vehicle and airplane production, he realized there was nothing to worry about. He went over several bumps and rough sidewalks and the Xplory handled them with ease. The strong, ergonomic design of the stroller disperses the centre of gravity to all four wheels, allowing for a very smooth ride.

Both my husband David and I have been raving about the Stokke Xplory stroller to any parent who will listen! This is the only stroller we will ever need, and we can’t wait to take it out more once our new addition is here. Everything about the Xplory is well thought-out and made with high quality materials, which is something every parent wants to ensure when purchasing an investment item like a stroller. I am very big on interaction and bonding with newborns and infants, and I love that the stroller is adjustable so they can sit right at your level to allow for optimal interaction, bonding and a feeling of security for your little one.
