Spring Shoe Trends: Flats
Shoe shopping is always fun but shoe shopping over at Mod Cloth is downright dangerous. Their selection of adorable flats is hard to pass up — especially because the prices are right in line with Mom’s budget. As much as I love my heels, running around town with toddlers in tow requires a bit more stability. Which is why I love buying flats that make a stylish statement while keeping my feet from injury
Choose your style
Loafers and oxfords — if you are a girl that needs to actually get where she is going without blisters, I recommend finding a comfortable loafer. These are the coolest soccer mom shoe.
Ankle Straps — the perfect shoe for looking and feeling feminine and flirty. Wear these with a full a-line skirt to feel a little vintage and pair them this spring with your ankle-length khakis or pastel shorts.
Pointy flats are sharp and can dress things up a bit. Also look for stripes, polka-dots and florals this season.
Cat and Mouse flats — yes there seems to be a trend with animals on your flats. I have seen a number of flats with cats but these mouse flats are sweet and playful.
Flats do not have to be boring! In fact just like a great statement necklace a great pair of flats can be the key to your outfit. Flats are also an inexpensive way to make your basic wardrobe feel new again. Once the snow has melted and you can see the sidewalks again nothing will put a little spring in your step more than a new pair of shoes!
