Spring Fashion Picks

I have found a great Non-Mom shop!  What do I mean by a Non-Mom shop?

Well, a shop that is trendy and cool but not sooo trendy and cool that a mom couldn’t truly wear the clothes out into the real world.   Moms do not want to be held to shopping in the same stores and sticking to boring basics.   There are plenty of trends this Spring that are totally available for us too!  I just stumbled upon Lulus.com.  Now, I realize some of the clothing may fall into the “juniors”  department, but that is actually where I find the trends for a price I can afford.  I am not super thin or anything, but generally fit nicely into a medium top and sometimes need a large jacket in these departments.  Nordstrom’s Brass Plum section is also a great place to score these trends for less.

Spring Fashion Picks for all you Savvy Sassy Moms.

Every mom needs a good pair of run around town flats, and these are a cute take on the loafers and boat shoes that are hip right now.  When your feet are tired of the boots but craving those flip flops, cute flats will help you through the seasonal transition.   I like these sparkly Gold Flats they give you that “cool mom” look.

The wide leg trousers and bellbottom jeans are hot for spring – but the boyfriend jean is still a hot trend for hitting the park, playdates and the carpool lane.   The best part about the 501 Levi’s Boyfriend Cut is that you can wear them with flats during the day and dress them up with fun wedge or heel at night!

A cute Casual Trench coat is a must every Spring.   The weather can be so unpredictable, you need to have a light jacket to throw on.  Buying a nuetral trench coat that you can wear daily and can go over just about anything is the best bet.   Try to resist the printed and bright colored trench coats, you want it to be wearable next season.

Floral Prints and loose fitting blouses are a Moms best friend!  Anything that can delicately cover up any muffin top or post baby belly is a fantastic trend!  These blouses are supposed to fit loose and give you that natural 70’s chic look.   Pair them with some light-washed flared bottom denim and a few funky accessories you will be a mom right on trend.

Wedges are back with a bang but so are clogs and I am diggin these Miz Mooze Clog Sandals.  These are not as sky high as some of the wedges out there, but still gives you a little lift.  The vintage red is a great color to wear with all that denim and these shoes will look great with summer skirts too.

The best way to dress up a basic t-shirt and jeans is with a nice a cardigan or fitted boyfriend blazer.  This Corsage Cardigan from the GAP is simple yet sweet.  Cardigan’s are a trend that is sticking around for the spring season, try one with stripes, florals or a bold color.  They also look great over dresses and belted.

It wouldn’t be Spring without a scarf wrapped around your neck.  I love the color of this Micheal Stars Scarf, it reminds me of the ocean and reminds me I should plan a Spring Break getaway!  Aqua is a great color to jazz up all the nuetral tones and basics you already have in your wardrobe.  A new scarf for spring is sometimes all you may need.

Gold jewelry, fringe necklaces and bangles are poping up everywhere. Lulus.com has great accessories for a great price and this Blue Bangel isn’t too big or too small the colors will be perfect well into summer as well.  Accessories should always pop and enhance an outfit, not take aways from it.
