Being a mother doesn’t mean you have to lose your fashion sense. It’s very easy to infuse stylish elements into your daily and special event wardrobe. Personally, I’m a basics kind of girl. I wear mostly solids and there is a lot of black and white in my wardrobe. But, I do like a good pop of color from time to time. And as I grow more into my own personal style, I find that the bolder the better.
Below you will find four outfits that incorporate pops of color with basics we all likely have in our wardrobe – a little black dress, basic tees, skinny jeans, long flowing skirts and maybe even a wild card mini-dress for that occasional date night with your honey. But what puts the wow into those basics? Some fun accessories like bangles, fun shoes, a fedora and… a pop of color.
Office get together or Valentine’s Date, there’s always a place for the Little Black Dress. But a Little Black Dress would be boring without a pop of color to spice it up. Magenta shoes complete with lips and nails to match is just the ticket. Cascading waves add a touch of glam and bring it all together.
Fedora + Flowy Skirt = Fabulous by mtdlblog featuring a cuff bangleTake a flowy bold Kelly Green skirt and pair it up with a simple white tank. Add some sassy wedges, a fedora complete with side braid, and some gold knot jewelry finishes off the look. You will be comfortable and fashionable at the same time.

My style is the “weekend” style and I love comfort. I just hope scarves never go out of style because I find them to be so versatile, adding a pop of color and they can cover problem areas around the midsection if worn correctly! 🙂
