My Neighborhood Rally!

As you may already know, I am helping fight Child Hunger.
How am I helping?  Well, let me break it down…

Next week 13 other bloggers will be flown here to Los Angeles (I’ll just get in my car and drive) and our first stop will be at a local LA Food Bank.  We will volunteering and learning more about how a food bank operates and why they are so important to our communities.  Last week I wrote about the shocking statistics of child hunger in Los Angeles and the LA food bank,  so being able to spend a day volunteering with my fellow blogging partners right here in my own city is extremley special!

Our next stop will be America’s favorite street, Wisteria Lane!   That’s right, we will be going to the set of Desperate Housewives and meet with Dana Delany, the celebrity spokesperson for the “Child Hunger Ends Here Campaign”.  There we will learn more details about the Child Hunger ends Here Campaign and rally as a TEAM for Child Hunger.  Hosting a neighborhood rally is a call to ACTION and it is my hope that you go to the to host a rally so you can make a difference to the families in your community!

Sunday, May 1st  7:30am – 11:30
is when I am hosting my Neighborhood Rally!
My front yard, driveway and backyard will be tranformed into a Neighborhood Breakfast Cafe!

Get out your calender, do you have anything planned for that weekend?  If not, you could host one too!  The website will give you a toolkit and you can turn a bake sale, rummage sale, pancake breakfast, school movie night, school carnival or dinner party into a rally!  You’ll have fun and help a fantastic cause!  (You don’t have to do it that specific day – you can do it whenever it is convient for you!)
