Fall Family Fashion {Perfect Looks for Family Photos}

What should we wear is always the biggest questions when planning for our family photo’s. I’m not a huge fan of matching outfits or having the entire family wearing white t-shirts. That can be fun and all but it’s best to purchase styles and colors that are flattering for each individual family member. However, that being said I do like to stick with the same color palette.

  • For example in this style board, we’ve put mom in a layered ensemble with solid neutral colors then we added a statement necklace to give the outfit a pop of color.
  • Daughter has a nice pair of khaki’s with a red top with just a bit of a floral pattern- nothing too loud. If it is cooler in your part of the country add a cute solid cardigan sweater.
  • The son  is wearing solid neutral colors.
  • We’ve dressed dad in a plaid shirt that will pull those colors from the daughters top and moms necklace.

It’s okay if a few family members have a print but don’t bombard the entire photo with loud prints. Say two people in solid, two in print with coordination in the same colors. This will allow the solids to pull from those colors in the patterns making it a cohesive family photo. A few places I like to shop for the entire family is Old Navy and the Gap, you’ll have an easier time pulling together certain looks. When selecting your outfits keep comfort in mind as you will likely be moving around a lot.
