I loved playing with Barbie when I was growing up and I can honestly say that I never thought of her as anything more than a doll. She was not my role model and I never thought to myself, “I hope I have big boobs like Barbie when I grow up”, all I wanted was her clothing and shoes! Dolls are for pretend and imagination, my Barbie always went to work and she was never at home cooking and cleaning. I made all my Barbie’s smart, fashionable women. My daughter never really got into Barbie and I probably bought them a little more for me. They sit in a basket waiting to be sold at the next garage sale. I am not offended by this Barbie with the Tattoo’s. In my opinion a doll with tattoo’s is far better than a princess Barbie, I mean what is more realistic? I’m still hoping they make a Savvy Sassy Moms Barbie complete with ipad and a twitter account!
So what do I think about Barbie and her tattoos?
I say big deal.

PERSONALLY I LIKE THAT BARBIE. I LIKE ALL BARBIE’S AS A MATTER OF FACT. (LOVE THE PINK HAIR TOO)
I say right on! Barbie should let kids express whoever they are.
Well, I was never a ‘Barbie’ type girl – the only figurines I had were Jem & the Holograms and She-ra… so, going by that, this Barbie would have likely have been the only one I would have wanted when I was 12.
I have mixed emotions about the tattoo Barbie. Mainly because I have tattoos myself. I don’t know that I would buy my daughter this particular doll but I’d be more likely to buy this then those sultry bratz dolls.
I’m not cool with this.
