babyGap launches new line of limited edition Peter Rabbit inspired clothing

Sneak Peek: Gap introduces a limited-edition collection for babyGap inspired by world famous author Beatrix Potter and her captivating children’s book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit. The Peter Rabbit line includes bodysuits adorned with various Peter Rabbit illustrations, brightly colored and printed denim, whimsical one-pieces and patterned dresses, cable knit cardigans and billowing dresses in chambray eyelet and pink bunny print designs.. There is an adorable rabbit whiskers sweater and quilted barn jacket and I just loved the polk-a-dot-cords! There are also some great gift items like bowls, cups, hats and booties.

I was at the launch event at The Grove here in Los Angeles this past weekend and got a first hand look at the new collection and let me tell you, it is so sweet and simply adorable. My kids were my savvy sassy sidekicks and had no problem joining in all the fun festivities. There was face painting, games, music, special treats and a book reading.

SPECIAL IN-STORE READING

To celebrate the collection, Gap will host a special reading series for children and parents on January 26th at select babyGap stores in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Toronto and Washington D.C. During the events, guests will be treated to a reading of Emma Thompson’s sequel, The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit, while enjoying activities and snacks that bring the world of Peter Rabbit to life.

BOOK DRIVE

Gap has also partnered with Milk + Bookies, a non-profit organization that encourages children to donate books to children in need, to host in-store book drives where shoppers can donate their literary favorites for others to learn and enjoy. All books collected through the book drives will be donated to local Boys & Girls Clubs. More information about the in-store events is available on Gap’s Facebook page.
