If you follow us on Instagram, you probably caught our coverage of the 2015 ABC Kids Expo, which is one of our favorite and most exciting events of the year. Not only did we get to see some of our favorite brands and products in person, but we also got a ton of sneak peeks at the trends in 2016 baby gear and kids’ products. Be sure to keep an eye out for these launches and releases in the coming months and into spring of next year…
5 Hot 2016 baby gear trends
1. All about the blues
One of the first trends we noticed when we got to the Expo was all of the great shades of blues! From navy to baby blue and every color in between, we can boldly say that blue isn’t just for the boys anymore when it comes to baby gear. (Pictured: Bumbleride jogging stroller, coming Spring 2016)
2. Silicone everything
Everywhere we looked, a brand has something cool made from silicone. And, we can’t blame them. This material is so kid-friendly, plus, you can bake it, wash it, let them chew on it, eat out of it… need we go on? (Pictured: Chewbeads Travel Bath Time Set, coming in 2016)
3. Pretty in pink
If you love pink, you’ll love what’s coming in baby gear for 2016! There were so many pretty new pinks to choose from at ABC Kids Expo, including a lot of soft, blushing pinks. (Pictured: Tula carrier and blankets, coming in 2016)
4. Cool celebrity partnerships
It was the talk of the Expo — who was the celebrity designer collaboration with Maxi-Cosi/Quinny? We were all thrilled to see that our predictions were correct and that they had teamed up with mom of two, Rachel Zoe for this gorgeous car seat and stroller. 5. Size matters for strollers
From the biggest to the smallest, we would say that the strollers were the show stoppers at ABC Kids 2015. The smallest stroller, but the one creating the most buzz was most certainly the GB Pockit Stroller. (See our video of how it folds on Instagram!) And, on the other end of the spectrum (pictured above) was the expandable stroller from Austlen Baby Co. Both strollers are available in 2016.
