Swimming is one of my kids’ favorite activities, especially this summer with the hot weather we have been having. If you are looking for us, we are in one pool or another, wet from head to toe! Once your child is toilet trained, there is less to worry about when it comes to undergarments, but for those little ones, it’s essential that nothing slips when they are in the pool. There is nothing worse than your little one being the reason to drain the pool!
We have had ample opportunity to test out the swim diapers on the market. There are two kinds of swim diapers, reusable and disposable. We tried our two of each and have expanded our swim diaper horizons!
Disposable Swim Diapers
Babyganics just release their new Color Changing Disposable Swim Diapers. These diapers are adorned with a cute green frog on the front and back, which changes color as your child is exposed to the sun. I’m always concerned about my daughters delicate baby skin get colored by the sun and I’m frequently lathering her in sunscreen, but I love the quick visual reminder these swim diapers offer to reapply. The easy tearaway sides make it easy for quick removal at the end of a swim or if they get soiled in the middle of the fun!
Huggies and Pampers both offer a disposable swim diaper, both of which are quite similar. They both offer the bright colorful patterns! Pampers Splashers offer the same fun loving character equivalent with Elmo and Dora the Explorer! Both companies have sized their swimmers the same way the size their diapers, so if you wear one of the two brands, it makes it easy to select your disposable swim diaper size. Huggies cover children between 16 to 26 pounds while Pampers sizes go all the way up to 34 pounds. They both offer adjustable tabs on the side that make it easy to tighten them around the legs and remove them. Whether you go with Huggies or Pampers, they will keep the mess inside and won’t have you draining any pools!
Remember disposable diapers are meant to keep in a bowel movement, so don’t rely on the for protection for too long before going in the pool!
Reusable swim diapers
Our earth is a sacred place and it is our job to take care of the environment.
