Summer Style: Keeping Cool

In Style by Sherry1 Comment

We all love it when summer time rolls around but there are days when it’s just too hot to be fashionable – or is it?  Here are a few no fail summer looks and cool fabrics you should have in your closet to beat the heat.

A maxi dress is great summer outfit to keep you cool. Its lose fit will keep the fabric from clinging to you and we all know how miserable that can be on those hot days. Since this maxi dress already has a belt, skip wearing a necklace and add a pair of statement earrings and some light bracelets to pull the look together.

This hi-low or dipped hem skirt is a look I’m loving right now.  It’s a nice flirty skirt that looks great with a pair of strappy sandal pumps. Couple with a white tank and it will make the outfit feel even cooler. Keep your accessories light in the summer months or at least on those really hot days by wearing a great pair of earrings and a bracelet or a delicate long necklace.  This will be good for you and your jewelry.

A white tunic is one sure way to stay cool. They are typically a lighter fabric that are both feminine and flattering.  It’s a great look for a day at the beach or dress it up with some espadrilles and a colorful statement necklace for a lunch date.

These looks are just as easy if not easier to throw on than a tank and shorts. So glam it up a bit on those hot days!
