If you can believe it, January is coming to a close next week. If you are me you are still writing 2012 on your checks and in complete disbelief. How can the first month of the year be ending soon? I still need to get organized!
I continue to make a resolution to get more organized every New Year. I am a work at home mom with three kids and a husband who owns a small business. We have a lot going on – between work, writing assignments, school work, after school activities, birthdays, travel, vet appointments, orthodontist appointments, and deadlines – we have very full calendars.
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t have a great system – from sticky notes, to overflowing files, bills in bins and random notes that I shove in my purse…well you know how things sometimes fall through the cracks.
But 2013 will be different for me, and Staples is here to help get me organized.
Have you heard of their M by Staples Arc customizable notebook and calendar system? It gives you cover-to-cover customization – create a system that’s uniquely you. The unique design allows you to add, move and rearrange pages and accessories to best fit your needs. It has a gorgeous leather cover with tons of pockets for notes and cards and a handy pen cover. I love a hard calendar and this even is a great size so it fits inside my purse or laptop carrier. You can then order which pages you want so you are not buying what you don’t need – grab some tabs, a calendar, graph pages, project planning pages, lists – whatever you need to keep you organized and then refill year after year! And as a fashion savvy lady – I admit I love the color!
Another great idea for organization is a binder. I’m not sure why I’ve never thought of this idea, but I am loving it. When my kids bring home important sheets that I need to reference later now I just punch some holes and put them in my binder under their tab. Seriously easy and brilliant and it keeps all of our paperwork neat and easy to access! I also love that the Staples Binders come with Removable FileRings!
Make sure you always have a great pen in your bag to capture those important dates. I have fallen in love with Staples’s AvantPro SilkScribe pen. My husband already snagged one of my new favorite pens – so keep it close to you because it will become your favorite pen!
As my kids get older I also involve them in helping us keep organized as a family by filing their documents and writing down important dates.
I just know that 2013 will be the year of organization as a family and am grateful for Staples to help us on our way!
Disclosure: Staples provided the products for my review but all words and opinions are my own.
