Last night MomTrends and I threw a back-to-school twitter party and dished on some of the latest style for kids but I also wanted you to actually see the new Lands’ End fall line-up!
Earlier this year on my Spring trip to New York, I not only took the Time To Play showcase but I also got to get a sneak peek at what is in store for the Lands’ End Fall 2012 collection. This collection was exactly what you would expect from Lands’ End, classic, clean and sophisticated. The women’s winter coats were definatly the main attraction, you’ll not find a better wool coat anywhere. Lands’ End is headquartered in Wisconsin, I am originally form Minnesota, we know winter.
Color is still very much on trend for the fall. A bright coat is such a simple way to incorporate a splash of color into any wardrobe. Lands’ End is also offering a plus size line that fits right in line with the brand, quality and image. One of the head designers took me through the plus size collection and told me that they really took time to listen to the specific needs of this customer. They have included secret panels in the pants, flat pockets and created more room in the shoulders so the clothing fits comfortably while still remaining stylish.
The kids clothing was super fun and bright with a lot of oranges, yellows and pinks for the girls and plenty of vintage tee’s for the boys. Fall means back -to-school, the Lands’End school uniforms and popular backpacks and lunchpacks were also on display. Every year it seems they get have more and more options!
One of my favorite features of the fall line is the Iron Knee, which is an innovative interior knee patch that adds double the durability. The invisible polyester patch is soft, pliable and undetectable from the outside. Iron Knee is available in styles for girls and boys and will stand up after more than 50 washes and the toughest abuse kids can dish out. Look for them while doing your back to school shopping!
