“Go the F*ck to Sleep”

So, if you’re a mom, no doubt you’ve heard of Adam Mansbach’s book, “Go the F*ck to Sleep,” which has become the anthem of sleep deprived parents everywhere. When I first heard of it, my initial reaction was, “ouch harsh!” but then, I read it and could.not.stop.laughing.

For all those parents out there who have heard it all, every excuse under the sun as to why your kid won’t go to sleep, this is for you.  Here is an excerpt from the book, which by the way is beautifully illustrated by Ricardo Cortes to look just like any other fairytale bedtime story:

“The cats nestle close to their kittens. The lambs have laid down with the sheep. You’re cozy and warm in your bed my dear. Please go the f*ck to sleep.”

The best part? Samuel L. Jackson just recorded an audiobook version. Perfect for the star of Pulp Fiction, a film that used the f word a record-breaking number of times (271 times to be exact). Listen to a clip of his reading here. Caution NSFW.

Moms, what do you think of this book? Hilarity or going to far?
