Some of the most affordable family vacations happen to be at resorts offering all-inclusive accommodations from lodging and meals, to childcare and spa treatments. This “pack and go” solution is a big travel trend among those looking for inexpensive family travel options throughout the year. Whether you are looking for the best family beach vacations or somewhere to break out the parkas and hit the slopes, resorts and destinations are now making fun family vacations a possibility by giving your wallet a hefty break without sacrificing luxury.
What is an all-inclusive family vacation?
All-inclusive vacations were originally designed so that travelers could book trips for a one-time price which saved money while traveling because it included everything from meals, lodging and transportation, to activities, excursions and even on occasion, souvenirs. Nowadays, it is very important to request an itemized listing of everything covered because each package is so uniquely different. For example, do not automatically assume flights and transportation are covered because many resorts have done away with this gem.

The property is complete with fully-equipped villa suites, full-kitches and plenty of space for those with larger families. What might not be included in an all-inclusive vacation?
Great question! As I mentioned, every package varies from resort to resort; however it is best to double check on things like kids camp and childcare, alcoholic beverages, meals, spa treatments, beach equipment rentals, off-site excursions, airfare, airport transfers, tips and gratuity to name a few.
Are all-inclusive family vacations worth it?
It depends. Saving money on travel can free up your wallet for other expenses like non-sponsored guided tours and day trips; however, in rare cases it can also break the bank if the meal and drink plan is much more expensive than if you were to plan your meals on your own. Consider a few different options before committing to the reservation.
