NYFW has been non-stop for fashionistas everywhere, who have been planning out what’s trending for Spring 2018! We are excited to share the fashion from the spring/summer 2018 collection presented by NYFW designer Michael Costello.
You may recognize Michael Costello from the hit show, “Project Runway.” He has now progressed from the TV screen to the world stage, and is one of the premier designers that outfit celebrities from all around the world. He has been involved in the fashion industry from an early age, and his ability to create designs is innate.
Michael Costello’s presentation at the Robert Miller Gallery was comprised of bridal and evening attire with feminine details representing sensuality and strength. The luxurious fabrics paired with custom details made our viewing quite exhilarating. The way he sees the female figure and enhances the natural frame of the body are both flattering and unconventional, and make us want to wear his designs to every event we have. Tonight he showcased his first bridal collection along with another season of red carpet and evening wear. Some of the pieces that ruled the collection were sheer and sexy in all different sizes.
When asked where women are wearing these haute couture designs, Michael Costello responded with, “Where isn’t she going?…she is getting married this season, she is travelling, she is celebrating organically and celebrating feminism.” When designing his exquisite line of gowns, he listened to women and their body types designing dresses for women of all shapes and sizes.
