Non-Toxic Nail Polishes: Mineral Fusion

Some girls are just born girly-girls. I can still remember when my almost 8-year-old was just a toddler. She was always fascinated by my painted toenails — always pointing at them and smiling! So finally, one day, I decided I would paint her little toenails pink and, as you can imagine, the rest was history. She loved them painted and would happily show them off to everyone who would take a look. Even though she loved being all dolled up, I was still a little concerned because I didn’t like the idea of the chemicals, toxins, and fumes being near my little girl.

Moms of fancy little girls have no need to worry thanks to some really wonderful, natural nail polishes on the market. They are all non-toxic, odorless and totally kid-friendly… and mom-friendly, too!

Non-Toxic Nail Polishes for Girls

Non-toxic nail polish for kids: 5 Brands to try

Hopscotch Kids
This brand offers 19 colors that are all playfully named after nursery rhymes and schoolyard games. Their polish is water-based, non-toxic, and steers clear of all the chemicals found in traditional nail polish. Hopscotch Kids also offers a top-coat to protect nails from scratches and add an extra bit of shine.

Piggy Paint
Maybe one of the most well-known brands, Piggy Paint is a water-based polish that is not flammable and is made of specially formulated natural ingredients. Their precious tag-line “Natural as Mud” speaks directly about the safety of their product and how safe it is for your little ones. This line also offers a nail polish remover that is low-odor, contains no acetone, is hypoallergenic, and biodegradable.

Non-Toxic Nail Polish for Girls: Piggy Paint

Guess what moms? Non-toxic nail polish is not just for kids. There are also a lot of natural nail polish brands geared towards women, too! Do yourself a favor and steer clear of the fumes with these non-toxic polishes that will give you a great looking manicure without turning your nails brittle or yellow.

Mineral Fusion
This is a US-based company that offers products that are free of formaldehyde, parabens, camphor, and artificial colors. Their 100% vegan line of nail polishes are specially formulated from a combination of minerals that produces an exquisite line of 61 colors.

Scotch Naturals
Here’s a brand with a fun twist… shaken, not stirred, of course. Because why would you stir your nail polish? Scotch Naturals is free of all seven chemical ingredients found in most nail polishes, while most brands only boast being free of five. Currently they have 16 fun cocktail-inspired colors available, with plans of expanding this summer. That’s a happy hour we can get behind!

Priti NYC
A luxury, all-natural, vegan-friendly professional nail care line,  Priti Nail was an idea tossed around creator Kim D’Amato’s head while she was pregnant. Wanting to give her and her child the best there is to offer in healthcare and lead an organic lifestyle, she thought why not apply this change to her nails too? Thus, she gave birth to her non-toxic nail care line and a beautiful daughter. The line now offers over 100 different shades.

  1. I did a lot of research before I started putting nail polish on my daughter. I used to paint her toe nails with my nail polish and then realized it was so harsh for her little body.
I found a great brand called BoPo nail polish. It peels off and smells really nice.
The colors are vibrant unlike some other brands i had tried.
Just thought I’d add it to your list.
    😉
