This summer I discovered Mixed Up Clothing, a children’s clothing line that celebrates multiethnic children and is inspired by the textiles, cultures and people of the world. This caught my attention since traveling the world is such a huge part of my family’s life and passion. I love it when companies and brands not only make a stylish product but one that also has a deeper meaning and purpose. Sonia Kang is the founder and designer that chooses the beautiful fabrics and prints filled with bright colors and have an ethnic-inspired flair to them. Looking at the globally inspired collection online it makes me think of not only the places I’ve been, but the place I still need to go.
My daughter was sent two Mixed Up Clothing dresses and she lived in them all summer long. The fabric is soft and they were very comfortable to wear. On occasion she put on a jean jacket vest over the dressed to mix it up a bit. I love buying clothes for my daughter that shows her personality and expresses our traveling lifestyle. The wonderful thing about clothing is self expression and teaching our girls that no one is the same, we’re all unique and special no matter our ethnic background. Mixed Up Clothing is a brand that celebrates diversity and visually appeals to those that are raising not only multiethnic children but anyone who is raising global citizens of the world!
