How to Bring Date Night to Your Living Room

In Living by savvysassymoms2 Comments

With all the rain Los Angeles has been having it brings out the nesting side of me.  The only thing I want to do is stay in bed, rent movies and cuddle!  So what can adults do on a rainy night, or really any weekend night this fall & winter when there is no babysitter to be found and grandma lives out of state?

I found some fun  “Adult Night In” items, so after the kids are asleep you can bring Date Night right to your living room or call some friends over and have some grown up fun!

A soft, warm and fuzzy blanket is essential for cuddling up on chilly nights.  These luxurious Faux Fur Blankets are from Pottery Barn and please note, these should not be used to build a fort or a pirate ship.  They are truly adult only blankets.   They have to be dry cleaned,  so you’ll want to keep the kids with sticky fingers away!  Light some candles and well…you can probably guess what cuddling under one of these might lead to. #justsayin

Invite the Wine lovers and Foodies over and see just how much they actually know!   Food Fight and Wine Wars are perfect for a night in among adults and you might even learn a thing or two about the culinary arts and that fruit that magically turns into wine.   UnCommon Goods has really unique and one of a kind gifts for birthdays, weddings and holidays. (because gift cards are lame)

Who doesn’t like Chocolate Fondue?  Sur La Table carries this Fondue Gift Set that comes with a book of recipes and semi-sweet chocolate waffers.  There is plenty to dip in chocolate!  Bananas, strawberries, pretzels, pineapples, raspberries and marshmellows  just to name a few.  Speaking of marshmellows, if you missed my write up about Plush Puffs they have invented gourmet marshmellows and they are amazing!  It’s Adult Night – step it up a notch!

What’s a night in without some popcorn!  This Cuisineart Easy Pop PopCorn Maker looks good on the counter and the top can be tipped upside down for an instant serving bowl!  You can still make it taste like the fancy $15 popcorn at the movie theatre by adding some special seasonings.

Savvy Sassy Suggestion:
All of these items make fantastic house warming gifts, wedding gifts and holiday gifts for couples!  Heck even a New Baby gift, cause you know those parents aren’t going anywhere for awhile!
