When I first heard about the Dove #BeautyIs campaign, my initial thought was “I need to be a #DovePartner!” For the first time in nearly 60 years, has transformed its iconic Beauty Bar for Mother’s Day to celebrate the women in our lives. All about my mom
It’s not until you become a mom yourself that you truly understand the meaning of everything your mom told you when you were young. My mom always told me to start exercising when I was young and to take care of myself, because it only gets harder as you get older… and she was right. She told me that being kind to everyone is essential and that I should always stay true to myself, even when things get tough. She said that I should be real and not lose myself and that in the end, I would like the person I would become and she was right. She always told me that she loved me, that I didn’t know how much, and that was true, too.
She stood next to me and held my hand through the labor and delivery of my first child and when I looked at my son for the very first time she said to me, “Can you believe how much you love him? Now you know how much I love you.” She had never spoken truer words. The love you feel for your children is unlike any other love. Becoming a mom has given me a new perspective on love and life and has made me look at my own mom in a different light, too. I have always idolized her and I still do! She loves with her whole heart. She loves me and my siblings, my dad, and my children.
Words worthy of moms
My best friend once told me about love languages and how we all have a different way of showing our love — some of us show love through the giving of gifts, while others show their love through their words, or by spending quality time with the ones they love. It’s important that you are able to read your loved ones’ love languages… even if they are different from yours.

How beautiful gift idea on mother’s day. This is definitely a fantastic idea that can bring a great smile on your mother’s face. My mom and I both love the Dove beauty bar; these special bars feature words like love, real, care and kind. All of these I would say describe my mom.
