I was asked by International Delight Creamers what my favorite Holiday recipe or treat was? Sorry, I do not have a recipe for you as my time in the kitchen is very minimal and I just google things on the fly. However, I do make coffee every morning and adding in the pumpkin spice flavored creamer or peppermint mocha flavored creamer I’d say is a daily treat for me!
But besides all the seasonal flavors I put in my coffee each and every morning, I would have to say my favorite treat of the holidays is good old fashion Christmas Cookies, with lots of frosting of course! I typically eat a very unhealthy amount of Christmas cookies in December. It’s not just eating the cookies I enjoy but rather the entire process of making them. Yes, I do dig out the mixing bowls for this holiday tradition. From the beating of the flour, rolling out the dough, to cutting out the holiday shapes. But of course, my favorite part is frosting and decorating the cookies! Just like snowflakes, I love how each and every cookie is unique.
We have the traditional cookie cutters; Christmas trees, wreaths, reindeer, snowmen and the bells I try to not get too controlling about how much frosting or sprinkles the kids use, but I can’t help it. I just want them all to look pretty;) We usually just stick to the white icing, colorful sprinkles and some cinnamon hot candies, but after looking around online I think I may have to step it up a notch this year! Check out these amazing cookies by Glorious Treats! These are almost too pretty to eat! (Almost)
