Swimsuits Moms Love – Under $40

The weather is finally starting to warm up, even here in Maine and for most families, summer break is on the horizon. For me that means a lot of boating and frequent trips to the beach while keeping up with 3 energetic boys. I don’t want to miss out on any of the fun, so for me, finding bathing suits that I feel good in is essential. Every mom’s version of the perfect suit is a little different but my requirements include a suit that is flattering, cute, has full bum coverage, stays in place with activity and doesn’t break the bank. In case you’re in the market for a good suit, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite bathing suits for moms this season from 4 different retailers that offer affordable options!

1. Walmart

The other night I went shopping at Walmart for my son’s school project and ended up coming home with all shorts of treasures. I haven’t shopped Walmart much in the past, but I was really impressed with their home and fashion sections; I think my husband was starting to worry about my whereabouts. Among other things, I came home with this staple black bathing suit, this cover up and this great hat. I also now want to get this cute color block suit and this suit too!

2. Amazon

Like most busy moms, Amazon has been a lifesaver for me, especially for  household items and things for the kids. Not only is it a huge time and hassle saver, but you can also find some great buys. Over the last year I’ve dabbled more with buying items for my own wardrobe. This fall though was the first time I took a chance on ordering a bathing suit. Running out of time before heading to Florida I ordered this one piece on a whim and it might be my favorite suit to date; it’s fun and cute while still being practical for me. The CupShe brand has so many great options at price points you really can’t beat. I admit I was skeptical at first but now can’t wait to get another one this season. Next on my list is this one piece I love the colors and simplicity, and I’ve been eyeing this fun high waisted bikini. Speaking of high waisted bikinis, after seeing rave reviews, I ordered this stripe one for our spring break family vacation and it definitely exceeded my expectations especially for the price.

3. Target
No surprise target is on this list. One stop shopping is the name of their game. Can anyone think of a time when they came out of the store with just the items on their list? Not me! Target notoriously has a large swimsuit and section full of options for everyone in the family. Their Cat & Jack line is usually where I find the best suits for my boys. Recently I went to my local store and snagged this adorable suit which is so perfectly my style. I also tried on this one which is a little bit edgier for me but I’m thinking I’ll go back and grab it. The fit is great with awesome coverage and I think it will stay in place well while I chase my wild 3 year old. Also spotted this one online and am loving the colors and clean design.

4. Old Navy
I tend to shop Old Navy quite a bit for my three boys, especially for summer clothes and swimwear. Lately I’ve also been finding more cute pieces for myself as well. My husband is a lobsterman, so of course I love all the new lobster print for everyone! I usually wait for their big sales and stock up! I’m also a big fan of their online ordering with in-store pick up. I find it so much easier and it usually saves me money with coupon codes and less impulse purchases. During a recent 50% off sale, I picked up this lobster bikini for myself and this cute lobster suit for the boys. I’ve also been eyeing this cute one shoulder suit and this wrap front flattering one piece that have both been on sale.
What is your go-to store for bathing suits? Are you adding any of these to your list?
