I think we can all agree that being a mom is one of the hardest yet most rewarding things we have ever done or will do. It’s worth every ketchup stain on our white jeans, every dried snot glob in our favorite shirt and every grass stain in their newly purchased jeans.
However, even though it might be a little bit harder with the littles running around with almost no sense of what is dirty and disgusting, we can still be cute! I know, I know, it’s shocking!! For example, I bet you thought skirts waved goodbye when Jr. started crawling, right? Think again! And thank goodness that this season tea-length skirts are in!
Tea-length skirts are on trend
I am making an argument that tea-length skirts are a mom’s favorite skirt. Hear me out. They’re flowy so you’re comfortable (almost like yoga pants!), they’re long so you don’t have to worry about flashing the playground, and they look can be worn casually or dressed up. Sounds like the perfect skirt to me!
Tea-length skirt dressed up
I thought I’d start with a dressy way to wear it. I am sure you’ve seen this picture floating around Pinterest because, well, it’s a totally cute outfit! Here’s where you can see the image to the left. But pairing your tea-length skirt with a silky blouse and blazer you look classy and sophisticated without being too dressed up. Pair it with some comfortable flats and you’re ready to conquer your day!
Casually styled tea-length skirt
This look is probably my favorite. It’s from Amanda from The Clothes Horse. I love how casually it’s put together where you could wear it everyday, but it’s still very cute and stylish. I chose the Paris shirt because I love Paris and you can just never go wrong there. I also chose a white purse as opposed to something purple like she’s rocking because although she’s absolutely adorable, I’m more a matchy-matchy kinda girl. All in all, I’m searching for pieces to add to my wardrobe to make this outfit.
Tea-length skirt with a chambray
Is there anything wrong with this picture? I think not. Sunny polka dots perfect for spring. A cute fitted chambray shirt so it’s not too fancy. Stacked bracelets, a cute belt and nude heels. I adore it all. Folake from The Style Pantry rocks this look like no one’s business. I think it’s fun because you’re wearing a skirt so you’re all fancy, but you pair it with a chambray and BAM it’s classy/casual. You could even swap the heels for flats and wear it to the park. Love!
So is this spring trend one that you’ll be adapting this season? What’s you’re favorite look?
