- While acidic drinks are often very nice, including sodas and wine, the acids are not ideal for your teeth. The acids in food can soften the materials and dissolve the enamel of your teeth. You need to avoid holes in your teeth, and for that, you need to be aware of the acidic food you are putting in your mouth.
- As well as acidic foods, you need to consider limiting sugary food. The bacteria in plaque will change your sugars into acids and this can ruin your teeth. You deserve the best smile possible without having to pay through the odds for it, and you should consider that limiting your sugar intake will be good for more than just your teeth and gums. - You need to use a mouthguard when you are playing sports and when you do, you can protect your teeth from being injured. Injuries can lead to irreversible damage and you could end up needing dental implants and even dentures early on.
