By now, you’ve probably heard the buzz about Disney-Pixar’s summer blockbuster movie Brave, which premieres next Friday June 22. This much anticipated adventure takes place in the majestic land of Scotland and introduces a new Disney Princess, Princess Merida. I for one am very excited to see this movie for two main reasons; Princess Merida looks like my type of girl. She is strong, independent and courageous. The other reason I am excited about the film is to be taken away to the enchanting world of Scotland, I love movies that open up a conversation with my kids about other cultures and countries.
In honor of this highly anticipated movie that will shine the spotlight on Scotland this summer, VisitScotland is introducing Brave-themed travel packages to showcase the history, culture, traditions and countryside that inspired Brave’s creators.
