This time of year is typically filled with so many events and activities. It’s the most popular time for wedding showers, baby showers and luncheons. What better way to wow your fellow mom guests than with a Mom-mosa bar!
Mimosas are a simple drink to create and the perfect thing to serve for a gathering. Just pour the bubbly, add some juice, garnish with fruit and enjoy! They are always a hit and this Mom-mosa bar will let all your friends put their own twist to the classic mimosa. Plus, it takes the pressure off you as the hostess. No need to worry about you guests’ glasses staying filled…let them get creative with their mimosa recipes.
Start with the basics
The base for all mimosa recipes can be made with champagne, prosecco, or sparkling wine. While you don’t need to break the bank buying the best, some guests may forgo the juice all together, so you want it to be something that can stand alone, too.
Add a variety of juices
Of course the classic mimosa recipe calls for orange juice, so we always have that on hand, but we love to mix it up and offer some different variations. We’ve tried pineapple, cranberry and grapefruit juice to add different flavors. Even raspberry lemonade and peach nectar can add unexpected, but delicious flavors!
Top with fruit
Be prepared with fruit washed, chopped and ready to use as garnish for your mom-moss bar. Try offering a variety of berries and fruits like strawberries, peaches, blueberries and pineapple. By mixing different fruit garnishes with each recipe you can completely change the flavors of your mimosa.
Don’t forget the food
While everyone will be mingling while sipping their mimosas, they might want a quick nibble of something, too. We often opt for bakery-made treats like muffins and pastries. Place them on a pretty serving dish and call it a day. No one will know (or care) if you made them from scratch.
