10 things to register for at the Right Start

Finding out you are pregnant it is one of the most exciting and overwhelming moments of your life. All of a sudden you become a student majoring in Baby, trying to soak up as much baby product information as possible! Lucky for you there is an online world right at your fingertips and it’s available to you anytime day or night. Oh and there is no final exam;) But, if I can share some advice, do not get caught up in all of it. Product overload is stressful and will make you scared and anxious. You don’t not have to have everything right away, breathe.

Becoming a parent is a lot about common sense, trial & error and patience. You will have that gut feeling and that motherly instinct will set in. Relax. I promise you will be amazing. Things will come naturally to you, it’s a learning process and every baby is different. Take it from me, a girl who never even changed a diaper before having kids. Something that is right for one baby may not be right for yours. Just because a new product hit the market doesn’t mean it’s a good fit for you or your baby. Everyone’s budget, taste and needs are different. With that being said, you will need a few essential items and if you are having a baby shower people will want to shower you with gifts!

Last week I co-hosted a Registry 101 event at the Right Start in Santa Monica with Rachel from Club MomMe. It was a fun and informative night for the pregnant Moms and Dads in attendance as we gave our tips, tricks and advice on some of the best baby registry essentials.
