Father’s Day is coming and a what’s a better way to show your guy just how much he’s loved, than through his stomach!  These classic summer recipes will make the perfect Father’s Day menu and impress all the men in your family.  When planning a menu try to think about the season of the year, the occasion and what or who you are celebrating. In this case since it’s Father’s Day and the beginning of summer, a classic menu of burgers and summer salads work great, but try to find some unique recipes or a new way to spice up your traditional burger, sloppy joe or potato salad. Adding a few new ingredients or spices can turn a boring burger into a new sizzling tradition.

Bloody Mary Bar

Make sure not everyone is going to bring the same item and be sure there is something for those vegetarians too!  For the drink menu, an ultimate Bloody Mary is perfect for this celebration.  If you are feeling fancy, create a Bloody Mary bar and let everyone add their own favorite garnishes.  Provide a line up of olives, pickles, celery, cucumber, shrimp, onions, blue cheese and of course some hot sauces!

Root Beer Floats

A simple summer dessert that requires nothing more than ice cream and some good ol’ fashioned root beer, is a classic root beer float. Even the adults will be lining up for one of these. If the Dads are looking for something a little bit stronger than just add some Bourbon or Vanilla Vodka to their root beer floats to shake things up a bit!
